LEGACY SESSIONS

Time with our dogs is just far too short.

When I think of the dogs that have been part of my life over the years, I can't help but realize the impact they have made on my life.  From our first Cocker Spaniel as a child, to our Shepherds growing up to our Sheltie with my own family and now our Weenie Mix.

They have all a legacy, an imprint on my heart.

I find that being able to look back at photographs of those dogs brings back the joy they brought to my life and that is what I hope to do for you.

Today we all have a million photos of our furbaby on our phone, but to have images that are more than just a snapshot, more than an quick snap on your phone becomes their legacy.

It is a way to preserve your love for them and their love for you.

I would be honoured to capture legacy images for you and your Dog.

Noosh

Rocky, Victoria, BC

I don’t have the right words to express my gratitude for Shelly and her incredible photography work, but I’ll try.
Reviews are not something I feel compelled to do often, I have a side to me that prefers the unknown, I rarely look them up and like many people I just forget to do it regardless of my personality. This time it’s different.
I contacted Shelly to arrange a session with her in December of 2023. We headed out into the woods on a very foggy day. I brought my yellow Labrador Noosh along with my husband and step daughter. This day was all about Noosh and it was important to me to have the right person take our photos. In June of 2023 at the age of 18 months Noosh was diagnosed with T Cell Lymphoma. A fairly common cancer in older dogs, much rarer in young dogs. I dropped everything when the diagnosis came and spent the entire summer and fall focusing on her health, filling her life up with as much joy as I could and savouring every moment with her. There is no cure for canine cancer, chemotherapy and other treatments simply buy time. By October she was in remission and in November she relapsed. I knew it would mean everything to me if I had professional photos done before her final transition in life. Shelly was thoughtful, kind, compassionate and so incredible. The photos she took are absolutely stunning and she captured every beautiful angle of my girl Noosh. The photos have a wonderful ethereal feel to them, Shelly is an incredible artist. We lost Noosh in January of 2024. She fought so hard. She was a beautiful dog with a real zest for life. Noosh was my heart dog and I miss her every day. Please do not look any further if you’re looking for a pet photographer. Shelly is the one, this I know. Trust me. I have forever memories now captured in the most perfect way.
Thank you Shelly. So much gratitude for you.

Please note that travel fees may apply for any session outside the Greater Victoria area
